Characteristics of coated art paper

A coating processing paper for copperplate printing. According to different uses, it can be divided into single-sided or double-sided coating. There are flat paper and web paper. The ration is generally 70-150g / m2, and there are double-sided coating up to 180-250g / m2. The paper is uniform and compact, with high whiteness (more than 85%), smooth and glossy surface, and solid and consistent coating, so as to obtain fine and clear patterns and characters after printing. The base paper is made from bleached chemical wood pulp or part of bleached chemical straw pulp on a paper machine. Based on the base paper, the white pigment (also known as clay, such as kaolin, talcum powder, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, etc.), adhesive (polyvinyl alcohol, casein, modified starch, synthetic latex, etc.), and other auxiliary materials (such as gloss agent, hardener, plasticizer, dispersant, wetting agent, emulsifying agent, fluorescent whitening agent, toner, etc.) are uniformly coated on the coater The cloth is processed and made by drying and super calendering. It is used for advanced art printing, calendar, poster, picture album, color illustration, book cover, advertisement trademark, etc.

Copperplate paper is characterized by a very smooth surface, high smoothness and good glossiness. Because the whiteness of the coating is more than 90% and the particles are very fine, and it is calendered by a super calender, the smoothness of the coated paper is generally 600-1000s. At the same time, the coating is evenly distributed on the paper surface to show a pleasant white color. The requirements for the coated paper are high coating strength, thin and uniform coating, no bubbles, appropriate amount of adhesive in the coating to prevent the paper from peeling off during the printing process, in addition, the absorption of xylene on the coated paper should be appropriate, which can be suitable for fine screen printing of more than 60 lines / cm.
