The production process of PP(2)

Process features: (1) no solvent is added in the system, propylene monomer is polymerized in liquid phase in the kettle reactor, and ethylene propylene is polymerized in gas phase in the fluidized bed reactor; (2) simple process, less equipment, less investment, low power consumption and production cost; (3) polymerization is carried out in the kettle stirring reactor (Hypol process) or the loop reactor (Spheripol process) Random copolymerization and block copolymerization were carried out in a stirred bed reactor.

The typical representative of adopting liquid-phase bulk method is spherizone liquid-phase bulk method process of Basel company. Spherizone is a gas-phase circulation technology, which uses Ziegler Natta catalyst to produce polymer with high crystallinity, rigidity and homogeneity, while maintaining toughness and processability. It can produce highly uniform multi monomer resin or bimodal homopolymer in a single reactor. There are two interconnected areas in spherizone cycle reaction. Different areas play the role of gas-phase and liquid-phase loop reactor of other processes. These two regions can produce resins with different relative molecular weight or monomer composition distribution, which enlarges the performance range of polypropylene.
