Problems in UV printing

Compared with traditional ink printing, UV printing does have great advantages, but there are still some problems that must be solved and improved in its popularization and application.

1. Price of UV printing ink

Although UV ink has the advantages of instant curing and good conjunctival performance, but the price is relatively expensive. At the same time, special UV blanket and UV ink roller must be used, which greatly improves the product cost.

2. Adhesion of UV printing ink

During the curing process, the internal components of UV ink are crosslinked and polymerized, and the volume changes in a moment, resulting in greater internal stress, which affects the adhesion of the ink to the substrate. Although this problem can be improved by surface treatment or modification of substrate, the fundamental solution is to seek and develop UV ink with good adsorption, small shrinkage stress and low price.

3. Suitable moistening solution for UV printing ink

UV ink is mainly used for non absorbent printing materials, and for different printing materials, ink formulation is not the same. Therefore, the fountain solution is required to have wide adaptability to ensure the required printing quality.

Although UV printing has the above problems, with the maturity of related technologies and the expansion of application fields, its rapid development is inevitable. In the near future, UV printing will be more widely used and popularized.
